Re: Centerfire rifle with no recoil
Should have read everybody else's posts, I agree with the 22-250 over the 223. We shoot primarily 22-250 for hogs, we shoot alot of them and rarely do they ever make it out of our hay fields.

Re: Centerfire rifle with no recoil
I had a mini in 223, read up on them, they eat anything but are known for accuracy issues, mainly associated with "barrel whip". A barrel strut will help but you will never get the accuracy like u do with an AR. Mini's also have horrible triggers. You could always look into a 243, 7mm-08 o...

Re: Need info 1996 Hewes Livewell
T and H Marine sells a rectangular hatch that will replace that pie hole so everytime you are working in the bilge it doesn't look like you just got in a fight with a wildcat.

Re: Fish Finders / GPS combo, which one do you use and why?
Question...What causes a depth finder to automatically turn off when boat gets on plane? Works fine drifting but when running the machine turns off everytime If you lose power when u get on plane odds are it's a bad ground or power connection, not a transducer. If the transducer wasn't mounted corr...

Re: Need info 1996 Hewes Livewell
I have a Maverick not a Hewes, set up shoukd be similar. Definitely missing your stand pipe. There should be one or two nozzles on the side of the livewell. One will be the fill nozzle, should go to livewell pump and thru hull with a shut off valve. If there is a second it shoukd be a recirculation ...

Re: Suzuki parts....
I'm from Okeechobee, we had a full service Zuke dealer there that always had everything I needed. I prefer to keep my money local, but not going to have time to get to Shields. I ended up ordering from Brownspoint. I've been very happy with my Zuke. Most of the Seatow and commercial guys on the Lake...

Re: Suzuki parts....
Thanks SK! I'll check them out.
I went into Parkway, after a dissertation about why they didn't like Suzuki's and all the problems with the motors and the company, they didint stock any parts except water pump kits that I needed.
I'll try Shields, but thanks for the heads up.

Re: Fish Finders / GPS combo, which one do you use and why?
I have a NSS7 Evo2, love it. I used to be a Garmin guy but the user interface was not what I wanted from the newer Garmin units. The Simrad is pretty amazing and does way more than I have figured out. The ability to hook chirp and side vu up without a sounder box or any extra equipment is nice, espe...

Suzuki parts....
Just moved up here about a year ago, looking for a local supplier for Suzuki parts that actually has parts in stock in the Crawfordville, St. Marks or Tally areas. Any recommendations would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
