Sure would be nice if Seatow would help us clear out those trees.

Re: St. George Island 13th-21st
You will catch all the fish you want at the state park. Please be careful in a yak at the cut. That water is rough on a good size boat at times. The bay will turn on you very quickly.

Re: Lakes For Catfish
Are you shore fishing or from a boat? Most of cats are probably in spawn to post spawn stage and up the running waters of River and in creeks on the lake. The bite is good below the dam and up River from the lake.

Re: Lakes For Catfish
Most of the prairie lakes such as Jackson and Iamonia are fair at best. Talquin and the Ocklocknee River are some of the best you will find for eating size up 20 pounders in the state. Seminole and the Appalachicola River would be the nearest well known for cats. What exactly are you looking for?

Sunnys Blood flavored stink bait works great. Livers, worms, shiners, shrimp, cut mullet and just about anything else works good too.

Re: Scallop season closed in St. Joe Bay
Florida records definitely show more and more liscensed anglers every year. They are among the highest in the country. I too try to fish during the week as weekends at ramps such as Econfina, Lanark, and Carabelle are usually wrapped up. I try to avoid St. Marks. Also, have found some lesser known o...

Re: Scallop season closed in St. Joe Bay
Thank you BBG, I am much agreed to see the results. There are more and more people fishing let alone scalloping and we have to be mindful of the effects. We also have to look at all the variables of the data and how it was compiled. The early season was not a good idea before the spill, but what eff...

Re: Scallop season closed in St. Joe Bay
How did a thread on scallops end up being about oysters? There are strong feelings every which away about Apalachicola. Experts disagree. Oysters grow elsewhere with little or no fresh water. The only thing I've seen nearly every expert agree on was the bay got raped ahead of the oil spill that nev...

Re: June NFGFC tourney...1 red or 2?
Nothing wrong with keeping a fish to eat and not making accusations against anyone. Just making suggestions to better suit the stewardship of these fish. If the data and your personal experiences as many have agreed on this site along with others show a decline in reds. Then why not self impose stri...

Re: Scallop season closed in St. Joe Bay
Now that we have settled that there are things besides the flow of water. What are we going to do about replacing habitat? Training and liscensing oyster harvesters? Considerations for lesser or closed harvest? I don't care how much freshwater you get if you don't have the habitat they won't survive...

Re: Scallop season closed in St. Joe Bay
Bud, I understand the court case which has moved from court to court without any justification. I also understand the problems in the river basin. You feel it's Ga fault I feel it can be fixed by Florida. Greed is the problem. Its obvious that our populations have grown everywhere including Atl and ...
