Re: New business hours for Reel Repair by Jim
I always drop off and pick up at lunch, so makes no difference to me. I say get your hours where you want them and folks will adjust.

Re: Sidescan on the flats
In 4-5 feet of water you are probably only seeing about 2-3 feet on either side of the boat...maybe as much a 5 feet. I was convinced I needed side scan when I bought my last unit, only to realize that the water I usually fish is too shallow for it to be of any real use. It does however, shine in 1...

Re: Sidescan on the flats
Went out Sunday and caught a few trout in 4-5 feet, water temp 74 deg, very clear water on the east flats. Fish seemed scattered and it made me wonder - why don't I ever see trout on my sidescan on the flats when I'm slow trolling or looking for a new spot? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk You ...

Re: Bonefish in Apalachee Bay
Just awesome Jim super stoked for you. I heard the Ian theory as well and not sure I buy it. 1) There was one caught in sgi before ian hit and 2) ian sucked all of the water out of here, didn’t really push water up. Anywho, excellent fish Jim. Congratulations

Re: Alligator Point/Panacea pointers
For alligator harbor, the sun and sand ramp is close to the oyster bars in the back of the harbor, but I like the area closer to the mouth. There is a large grass flat between Leonard’s landing and the mouth. Both good places to paddle. Good luck

Thanks - I will see what Black Tip offers. I tried to order some Hydro Turf, but they are backordered on the light grey. - Steve Stinson I’m not sure if the other brands, but I’ve had light grey and fake teak sea deck. The light grey was a bear to clean( had to use magic eraser)..Seemed to pick up ...

Mobile stereo man
A couple of weeks ago, I met Kieth Fernbach at the marina when I was washing my boat. He was working on a stereo and we got to talking. I’d been having problems with my stereo for months and has been waiting on a call back for over 6 weeks. He worked me in after his job and figured out the problem. ...

Re: Keaton this past weekend?
You have to figure that the shark story that made all the news channels had some impact also. I know my neighbors who own a place at Econfina had no interest in scalloping this year and my brother who normally goes with me every year wanted to fish instead. I fished from Dog Island to beyond the FS...

That looks a lot like like a small chum churn. Is this something that you built skeeter, or is is a commercial product?

Re: T-Top vs. Bimini
I’ve had both and the t top is by far the best option for fishing. When fishing you will learn how to cast to prevent hitting the t top. Not a big deal at all plus it’s great to get other rods up out of the way in the rocket launchers. Fishing with a bimini is darn near impossible, unless fishing s...

I believe Clay Oaks fishes out of panacea. I’ve never fished w him, but he puts his clients on em. He has a slow boat, but it’s fishy
