I hate to hear about his passing, I never met him in real life but he had family that farmed cotton near me in ga, interesting guy for sure.

Re: February bass locations
I have zero experience with guided bass fishing in FL but it might be worth a shot to see if Jim Keith with saltwater assassin would do a charter since he loves to bass fish, I think he fishes the Harris chain of lakes.

Re: Since it's dead in here, cedar key 12-5
Looks like a good day was had. I’m not sure I understand the “charter people” part. Asa is good people. That's exactly what I mean, Asa is a jam up dude and I hold him as the gold standard for a charter guide. I had a very bad experience out of Captain Andersons and honestly I want the customers to...

Since it's dead in here, cedar key 12-5
Had the opportunity to fish with Jimbo at saltwater assassin out of cedar key this week, I am very judgemental of charter people, but I put Jimbo and family in the same grouping as I do Asa Martin, good as gold. We took customers and salesmen down for a 2 boat trip this week, I can tell you one thin...

Re: Red Grouper to the Right, Gag Grouper to the Left, and a Few Red Snapper for the Cooler
Good pulls even if the grouper were out of season, I ran off shore to dog Ballard out of ecofina last weekend looking for grunts and some good black seabass to be disappointed with short black seabass and a bunch of sand perch.

2023 Post Expo fishing trip
Well the sunbelt ag expo has came and went so it is time for our annual post expo fishing trip, this year we went to Keaton instead of St Marks as I have done since 2016. Unfortunately, I moved the dates not realizing my wife would have a work training so the majority of the crew was down Tuesday an...

Re: Last Day For Gag Grouper
I had high hopes that when I go to Keaton this week we might could find some shallow but the closure has killed that idea.
Glad y'all finished the season strong.

Re: Cajun Sleigh spinner
I use a similar setup rigged with weedless soft plastics, if I want more flash than a spinner that's what a chatterbait is for.

Personally I think day length has a bigger effect, but I'm primarily inshore fishing.
Those underwater shots are awesome!
