I was there this weekend but didn't get a chance to try it. Lots of folks were fishing the surf but the few I spoke with hadn't caught much and no pompano caught that I was told about. But, that was just a small random sample of folks.

We had a similar experience Saturday afternoon in the bay. Ended up finding most of the scallops with our feet instead of our eyes. But what we found were almost all real good size -- a lot of "old timers" with moss, etc. all over them. Made for a really nice dinner Sunday evening.

You're killin' me Tom! I can't wait to get back down there. Cheeseburger and at the New Pass Grille is hard to beat. Oh, and the fishing with the Stephens boys ain't bad either. Good report and glad you guys had such a great trip.
