Re: submerged forest in the Gulf.
That's the first submerged forest I have heard about but there are several underwater springs where human artifacts have been found. Rays hole/spring is one of them which is about 30 miles SE of SM. One thing I thought was interesting about the video is when they said the forest was so old it couldn...

Read about this a couple years ago and ran across a video this morning. Pretty interesting.

Re: Circle Hooks On Jigheads
I just use a knocker rig for them on the bottom. Same as I use for grouper except scaled down. 1oz lead and a 2 or 3/0 circle hook.

Re: Gag Grouper Trolling Setup
6 to 12 foot section of 50-60lb mono leader. I like mono because it has more stretch and not as thick as fluorocarbon. The thinner the line the deeper the plugs will dive. If you start loosing plugs to kings then add a foot of wire.

Re: Skeg replacement
Just called them. Said they mostly work on I/O motors (this is a stern drive) but that they could get it done same day, for probably around $250. Can't argue with that. That doesn't sound right. Last year I had him fix my skeg, put a stainless steel rock guard on and replace the hubs. I want to say...

Re: Jon boat or Gheenoe for flats
Not wanting to stir the pot but seriously I have to ask: Other than maybe banging out a dent being easier than fixing fiberglass, what's the advantages of an aluminum boat over glass? I've only fished in a couple and they were noisy, light and blown around in a breeze, leaked and rode rough. I have...

Re: St Marks water clarity since rains
I fished East of the LH this past Saturday and the water was pretty stained. I didn't venture too far out on the flats but East of Palmetto it was really dark.

what's your Favorite boat food?
Although food is generally one of the last things I think about when planning a day on the water I'd like to do a little better with it this year. In a effort to do so I'd like to hear what's your favorite thing to eat on the boat is. Just looking for new ideas. Cold fried chicken or a meat and chee...

Re: taxidermist?
Harden's does do a good job but think the wait is 2 years or a least that what it was the last time we used them. I can't post pic's but will send it to someone that can.

taxidermist?
My buddy shot a deer Sunday that we have been hunting most of the season. He's looking for a good taxidermist that can do the front shoulders, neck and head. It's not official yet but a good chance it will be the new state record at 168.5 BC so they need to be good. Any recommendations?

Re: Does anyone know how to fix a sticky Shimano T-handle?
Try that calcium stuff people use on shower heads. Forgot the name of it. Then uses really hot water to rinse it. Sometimes it's just a buildup of salt and minerals and oil does noting to fix it.
