"The battery has failed several times (just a buzzing sound that I remember from other times the battery was drained)."
What do you mean by this statement? Where was this "buzzing" sound coming from and when? When you tried to crank the engine?

Re: Pecan Wood for Smoking??
There is a smoked wood supplier in Cheifland that sells all kinds of smoking wood, cut and dried. Last time i bought a pallet of pecan is was $125., the pallet was stacked up about four feet high with perfect size chunks.

Re: Water Heater Element Question
Water heaters have a "disconnecting means" -- either a plug connection, or a "pull out" type disconnect. This "pull out " disconnect today is usually a cheap box with a "pull out" handle inside. One way it is "ON" and turn it 180 degrees and it is &q...

Re: Hot new boating accessory!
Very dangerous boating accessory if left unattended while still burning --- that deck doesn't look fireproof to me, and some green eggs have failed and cracked dumping lit lump charcoal out, onto the deck...

Re: G. Loomis Warranty Update
It's been ten years but they replaced a very expensive fly rod broken by a Tarpon that got a little "wild" at the boat --really my fault, not a manufacturer's problem. But "no questions asked" they replaced it and sent it in a BEAUTIFUL shipping sleeve!

Re: Gas Leak in Bilge
I would suspect a leak in the fuel line from the tank, either way you have to open it up to fix it. It's not that big of a deal, install some plywood around/under the cut, then reinstall the patch -- glass it over...
Re: lights
The technologies surrounding LED lighting is changing so fast, prices are all over the place. Even the residential retrofit LED fixture prices are crazy. I have noticed that manufacturer's stocks are not dependable because they are continually changing..
