When we got back to the marina, the key messed up and couldn't crank it up! Thank god it happened there and not out at grassy island!

Re: Keaton beach 3-21-15

Very softmouthed today. They weren't acting hungry. Saw quite a few keeper trout shallow, just couldn't get them to bite. Had one swim 5ft from my bow following a prop scar. The area needs 3 more weeks, then its good to go!!!

Keaton beach 3-21-15

Went out of Keaton beach today. Tried a few deep channels next to the flats, then ended up between bog grassy island and mainland sight fishing. Caught a spot, saw a nice cobia just couldn't get him to play. Then we worked our way out to 6-4ft grass out in front of the island. As everyone else moved...

Re: Camping by boat..

If you ever drive down to cedar key, there is some awesome spots to camp out at. So many little islands. Just bring fresh water, that's why they're keys... Wonderful down there!

Bobs jabkplate

Guys I need a little help please. Last time I went out, the switch for the plate shorted out. I installed a new switch, but now it only makes a clicking sound, and doesn't move.... Help I was planning on going to either shell island or Keaton next sat, so I got to get her running!!!!!

Re: optimax

Lol! My good friend who is a local merc mechanic, told me that the quicksilver oil is acceptable, but the dfi synthetic is much better for it. It has more detergents and keeps carbon buildup down. Alot of places will sell you oil from a drum for less$. My local shop charges 5 bucks less if you bring...

Re: Advice on fuel in tanks - Use or remove

I helped a friend pull 40gal out of a boat at new years. We just disconnected the line from the tank to the water separator and connected a fuel pump we had laying around. I think it cost $20. A little extra line and we used the battery in the boat to run it. Didn't take but 30 min for everything. N...
