Re: Scoop Sea's Oil Spill Thread
Been out of the country in Haiti for the last 10 days. That trip really put things into perspective for me. We've got problems, but dang, be glad you don't live in Haiti. This thread is one of the best sources I have seen on what is happening with the clean up and containment response. Scoop, thanks...

Our church sponsored a father/son camp out Friday night. It was an evening, night and morning filled with a heck of a lot of fun, fishing and eating. I can't tell you how many times I heard "Daddy! I caught a fiiiiiish!!!" The event was held at Danny's place and he's got a pretty nice priv...

Re: Scoop Sea's Oil Spill Thread
Sounds like Scoop Sea may be an EXCELLENT speaker to bring for an NFGFC meeting sometime in the future. I'm betting you'd pack em in and it would be a great for Q&A.
....and you could buy him a steak.
Just a thought.

Great report Chalk. Thanks for taking time to write that up. Can't wait to see the pictures of the fish. Sounds like a great adventure to say the least. 70 mph is fast on the water for sure. Especially over that distance. My fishin' buddy here has a 19ft Bullet with a 225 Merc Pro Max racing motor. ...

Great Job Casey and Pat and great report.
Re: Oil Spill
I really appreciate the report Scoop Sea. I also appreciate what you and a lot of other people are doing to stem the effects of the oil. Dubble's comment brought a thought to mind for me. If BP can't stop it, then what other organizations can? What about the Army Core of Engineers? Are they inland? ...

Switched my day off so Dan and I could hit Lake Barkley at about 6:30 am on Thursday. We were both excited because the bass are starting to move deeper to the ledges and drops offs. Summer time fishing is here folks. The flooding and extreme fluctuation in lake levels really messed up the spring tim...
