There seems to be no shortage of red grouuper around here. We must have released around 15 keeper reds and a pi...

Lanark Village 8/2
Launched at about 8:00, caught bait for about 30 mins. and off we went to our spot 30 miles away, or so we thought. It was rough, so we couldn't go to where we had planned. So we decided to head the total opposite direction and look for some spots near Dog Island. We found 2 new spots, one in 55 ft....

Hadn't been offshore since the Classic, took off work to go today. Launched around 6:30, caught bait for about 1 hour, and off we went. The first spot was 75 ft. We pulled up 7 mangroves, 1 red snapper, and 2 gags then the bite quit. On the way to the second spot marked some good live bottom in 85 f...

no pics!!! :( We were going to take pics but the fish was still green on the gaff and started flopping around, so in the fish box it went. Had every intention of taking pics but didn't. The fish should have landed us 5th place (33.90) because the 5th place fish was 31.50. Don't know the explanation ...

Went out of Mexico Beach about 55 miles out and started trolling. Within the first 3 minutes had a strike but the fish didn't get hooked. Then on the second pass had another strike, this time the stinger hook's leader broke. On the 5th or 6th pass got another strike this time caught a 33.90 lbs. wah...

Went out of Apalch this morning, we got to our first hole and 2 boats were already anchored up. So we had another number about 100 yards away. We marked it, anchored up, dropped bait and caught a couple of shorts then one keeper. The shifting wind kept messing with our anchor heading, so we re-ancho...

I have a pretty good collection of rods and reels, but I just have to tell you my G Loomis is my favorite rod. It has greater sensitivity than any of my other rods. I have Star , All Star, Shakespere, Shimano, Team Diawa, and I feel the G Loomis is a far superior rod. Sure the G Loomis cost 2 and 3 ...
