Re: Has anybody here ever heard of Twin Sinks?
Alright alright alright! I went back after that almost-cold snap and the mosquitoes were tolerable. I walked around some to and saw/decided that they connect to Cow Creek during floods. Cow Creek of course is the creek you cross just before you get to Goose Pasture. I thought what I was looking at o...

Re: Has anybody here ever heard of Twin Sinks?
4-14-22 I think I found it today but we better not call it just yet. They were flooded and boiling. There was some calm overflow with fish popping and I threw a Rebel minnow a couple times but that was it for the other reason I came to post - the mosquitoes were like nothing I’ve ever been in :bang_...

I have to blow the horn to get the dang turkeys to move out my way at my house!
I’m tired of this wind and rain. It doesn’t just rain anymore. It’s always insane wind to go with it. Every time we have any kind of precipitation there’s a chance of some kind of disaster.

Re: First Time Fishing Low Tide in Winter - Learning Occurred
So can you catch fish from the bank near the Deep Creek Levy? Hickory Mound style at high tide? I sorta know a legal way to come in and walk shorter from the other direction and I’d totally drive to the Lighthouse first to pay for a day pass just in case.

Cool. I ended up going over to the Pinhook Sinks and caught some good Stumpknockers and Warmouth. Nothing major but it shook off the cobwebs.

East River Spillway
I’m down here now on foot for the first time ever, and I chose low tide in the wind to visit this in because I’m really smart. Can you catch Reds, Trout or Sheep’s at the spillway at high tide? Or anything else? I caught a small Shellcracker of all things on a live worm and I’m pretty sure I seen so...

Re: Airboats in the St. Marks Refuge.
It seems like the same couple of people always respond to this airboats post all huffy and puffy like, that pops up every so often. This is never about “people in airboats.” It’s about fools in airboats. If it’s clearly not about you I don’t know why you’d get that huffy and puffy. There is nothing ...

Re: Sign the Pledge
I’m happy to see so many people kind of agree and atleast understand what I’m talking about. I was actually treading lightly. I still wouldn’t go as far as to choose a side but I’m basically in favor of the ban. Maybe I’ve been spending to much time on a certain FB group. I love some of those guys b...

Re: Sign the Pledge
The OP probably hasn’t even been back to check the replies here or the 100s of other forums they posted it on so what we actually have here is a rare treat - a civil discussion about the ban from all sides. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen this on the internet. I’m not on either side myself. I lean to...

Re: Chain Castnets?
Did you ever buy one, now that you did the Panacea trip? It always looked like a good idea that could be made quicker and cheaper than the normal castnets. And the chain would help with tangles I would think if it were rigged like Gary said and not so tight.
