Re: Inshore/River fishing: what am I doing wrong?
Get out away from the river. I’ve just been walking on the backs of seatrout to and from my fishing spots.

Re: Aucilla River 11-29-18
I’ve seen 3. I’m sure of it, two of the three were more than just a fleeting glimpse. I saw two at one time years ago in Columbus Ga setting aerial targets hiking the hills. I saw one on the state line on a dirt that runs near Dixie plantation, it crossed the road in from of me and I watch him make ...

That’s cool. As elusive as those things are, you would think they would stay away from that one fairly busy dirt road in all that bush down there.

Did you see the panther in the dirt road going to the Aucilla landing?

Re: Shields boat ramp ??
Wondering around shields right now killing time. My people booked for st Marks, I told them yesterday to meet me at Shields Marina and somehow they got my home address off google and just called me from my driveway in Monticello asking if they were in the right place. So good morning, I hope your da...

Re: Shields boat ramp ??
Could launch a 28' boat with triples there any time any day... Have a boat slip there with a parking spot and it's been tough with people parking/blocking my spot though.. :-? . Overflow parking is behind Shields and if you park on the river side of the lot you mess everything up. There's floating ...

It’s where they want to go. They have time constraints.rockyg wrote:The Shields ramp is usable at any tide in a boat your size.
It looks like you have been all in the Reds further South......why would your charter want to come to St. Marks on a bad tide?

Shields boat ramp ??
So I have some folks wanting to get on the water tomorrow morning in St Marks, I’ve advised poor fishing conditions with negative low and 15kt northeast wind and that hasn’t backed them up much. I’ve never used the shields landing, could I even get my boat in? I have a polar but it’s similar in dime...

Re: Creek mouth fishing
Gotta share the water, just because you fishing there doesn’t mean you own it. Most times of the year I will yield a smaller to medium size creek if someone is already there, obviously not bigger ones like Stoney, pinhook or dallus. Winter time though if I want in.. I’m coming in, the fish usual don...
