St. Marks/St. George

Heading east of the light house Thursday, & bay side of St. George next week. The water is warmer than it was when I was out last. How deep should I be looking for trout?

Re: OIL IN THE GULF

If more people understood the limited impact drilling for oil in Florida's waters would have on the actual price of a gallon of gasoline, or what its real impact on the amount of oil we will continue to import from the Middle East will be, there would be far fewer folks in the SP, "Drill Baby D...

VHF Radios

Upgrading to a new mounted VHF radio. Curious to know what most of y'all are using. I'm looking at an ICOM M422, and a Standard Horizon GX1500S.

Re: Thank Goodness For SeaTow!

Yes, as far as doing the math....it only took them 1.5 hours to take care of us since we were so close, but that 1.5 hours would have cost more than double a one year membership. They're good people, and the piece of mind is priceless, especially of you have kids and wife on board. I hate to admit i...

Thank Goodness For SeaTow!

Another SeaTow member for life! While coming back near Lanark today with my wife, two kids and a dog (and no fish), my engine just decided to call it a day. Quick check, and a call to SeaTow, and we were towed and loaded at the ramp in a matter of minutes. If you haven't signed up, you'll be glad yo...

Taking the family out at Lanark tomorrow. Curious to know what the actual wind and chop was like today. Any reports?

Nice to finally see pictures of people fishing and NOT wearing gloves, hats and heavy jackets! Where are spots A and B?

St. Marks Wildlife Refuge Ramp

Has anyone heard when the ramp at St. Marks is going to be re-built/modified, or if that is still going to happen? Also, about how low is too low for the tide at that ramp? (19ft skiff)

New To Grouper Fishing

Now that I have a boat to get me out to some close reefs/wrecks on calms days (St. Marks/Lanark), I'd like to try fishing for grouper. I've been kayak fishing and fishing out of a Gheenoe for several years so this will all be new to me. Any advice? Recommended sites to start, trolling / live bait re...
