Re: Interest in a Jon boat only tournament
Just an FYI fellas. That's the same day as the FSU vs Miami home game. The following weekend is a home game as well. You may get more participants if you avoid those. Just my 2 cents  http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc227/jhults11/D491E58D-70B0-4E9F-BA10-135A230BD87D.png_zpspr95hdmo.jpeg

Re: St Marks NWR - 29 Mar 2015
Good job terrier! Way to get it done. We saw ya slinging the old buggy whip this morning. It was tough fishing today. We hit the flats for 2 hours from 2-6 feet to no avail. The water temp was 61.5F, which pretty much killed the flats bite. The flats were 72 last weekend. We managed a few rat reds a...

Re: Now you are FORCED to take a survey to get a license
Ok. Here is some positive news that might bring a smile to recreational reef anglers. The gulf coast states are working on a bill that would allow the "gulf states" (Texas, Louisana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida) to manage red snapper populations in federal waters. This year, a 70 day...

St. Marks Offshore 2/8/15
Since I havnt written nor seen an offshore post, hell, a fishing post of any kind minus JTs fine showing :-D in a WHILE, I figured I could contribute. We left St. Marks Sunday morning at the crack of dawn. The weather was stellar all day with warm temps and light winds. Another group of guys I know ...

Re: Suwannee bass
We have them in most local rivers including the Wakulla, St. Marks, Ochlockonee, and the Aucilla. The average size of these guys is 12" or about a pound, but can get up to around 3 lbs. They usually gravitate towards heavy structure such as docks and rocks, but I have done well on them in the E...

Re: Any news from St. Marks?
Fished the St Marks area upriver on Saturday...we caught a few rats and did find a mid slot Red and a decent Sheepshead. If it would quit raining for a couple weeks, the river could come down and the fish should return

Re: Spot tails for grouper bait
Pinfish are my first choice, pigfish are my second choice, squirrelfish (sand perch) are my third choice, lizardfish are my fourth choice, all white bait species (greenies, chards, etc) are my fifth choice, and then spottails are my last resort bait. I'm not sure why they don't work, but they just d...
