Back At It
FINALLY got out for the first time this year. Blessed to be super-busy...but dayum I was missing out. Got out to slip out yesterday to easy seas and we picked up right where we left off last year. Plenty of under-sized grouper action, the only one that was legal got jacked by a tiger. We only got th...

Re: Grilling fish????
I like to put cobia or grouper in a rack like H&M,
but then I swab mayo mixed with garlic and seasoning all over it.
Learned that in the keys.

Re: Lanark, Oh Crap and Seatow
I'll add my nod to Capt. Joel and SeaTow, been a member for eight years.
I've never had to call them while on my boat...but I had to call for a jump once from another boat and we were on our way in less than 30 min.
It's a stress reliever.

Re: Poll: Has flats fishing gotten worse over the years?
I remember this and I am 61 years old. I seen people I know bring back several ice chests full of trout. More that they could eat in weeks and this has been in the last 10 to 20 years. We pay for what we do today and our children and grandchildren will pay even more. My 2 pennies... Same age... In ...

Re: Hickory mound closed...
Bummer...I was thinking about heading down there today to watch the sunset and super-moon rise.
I had been wondering if storm damage closed it down.
Thanks for the info bman.

Re: Cobia
You can land a big cobia in a net... You just can't do it head first like normal. You have to get the net completely under the fish and come straight up. They will bend in half just enough to scoop them onboard. We've netted some big kings like this too. ...didn't say it was easy 6ft cobia!...probab...

We always drift and trail a long rope from the boat.
Hold on to the rope and it will pull you over the grass.
Least amount of effort that covers the most ground.
