flounder light batteries?
Any recommendations on a good 12-volt battery for our new flounder light, and a good place to get one, inexpensive? The light is hand-held, 23 watts, pulling 1.9 amps. We'll probably try the old float-it-on-a-tube trick for wading. But I'd like to have a compact battery (rather than the usual 12V car type). I've read and heard that you can even use smaller, lawnmower-size batteries in a backpack for wading.
Re: flounder light batteries?
Growing up we used a motorcycle battery... my mom made a carrying pouch that went over my shoulder.
Not sure how much our bulb pulled. It was an RV 50 watt 12 volt bulb.

Thanks -- that does sound do-able, and it would keep things simple.

Dad gum motorcycle batteries cost almost as much as a full size. Academy has its marine on sale this week.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

I know -- it's that way for decent lawnmower batteries, too. Thanks; I'll check Academy.
