reel to match old Berkley Jet Sport rod
I have a yard sale rod I found, and I'm trying to match it with a reel. The rod is vintage, but then so am I. It's a Berkley Jet Sport 161 7-foot, fiberglass. It feels a little heavy (underbalanced) for the Okuma Avenger AV40 I put on it, but a little light (overbalanced) by a Penn Silverado 6000. I realize I'm overthinking this, and I should just take both reels fishing and see how they really feel. But there's a small craft advisory through the weekend. Any suggestions to tide me over?

Maybe a Penn Battle 5000 Or Penn sportfisher.

Thanks, leonreno. I may have to spring for a new Penn reel (or a good used one) as a good match. It's a nice old rod, and it feels a lot like Penn rods in that size. Maybe it was Berkley's version of a Penn at some point.
