Where to fish inshore for King Mackerel or Stripers

Post by DEADLYMNM7 »

Hello
I am living in Tallahassee.
Where would your recommend to fish for King Mackerel or Stripers in Florida?
I mainly fish from Piers or beaches. Sometimes Paddle board.
Also, what rigs and bait.
Thanks

There are two piers in Panama City Beach that regularly catch king mackerel. Fish at daybreak and dawn. Larger spinning reels 5000-8000 size reel with 15-20 lb line, short wire leader and treble hook. Use live bait caught on the pier or frozen cigar minnows bought locally. Both work well.
