Heading to Cedar Key for a day or two. Any suggestions as to reasonable accomadations and general areas to target? In a 13 whaler.

Maybe Jim Smith or Big Bend Brian will chime in with more current reports, but I'd suggest working around the barrier islands off Cedar Key. Found much more activity out there than the back backs/sloughs when the wife and I stayed there for Thanksgiving year before last with similar weather patterns. Some good redfish action in Wacassasa Bay. It's rocky though, so proceed with caution.
We found a house through VRBO. OK, but there are some nice condos and other options available. Cool little island, friendly folks. Have fun!
