. That doesn’t sound very promising.

Different zone, but when I left Lanark boat ramp yesterday and made it past the wreck on Hwy 98 with emergency responders, I smelled an awful odor. Looked over to some of the houses on the bay and in front of one was a sizable reddish discoloration in the water and along the shoreline. Don't know if their sewage line ruptured or what but it was nasty. Wasn't too far from the condos and Mud Ducker's place. Don't think I'd want to be eating scallops from around there anytime soon.

I'd heard they were decently thick between dallus Creek and grassy, I won't make it until the 29th to see.

Swam around in the east flats yesterday between St. Marks and the Aucilla. I was in 7' of water-

The grass was thick, but saw no scallops.
Coincidentally, also saw nothing else.

No pinfish, bait or anything.

Longtime lurker, first post in awhile.

Took my middle 2, 14 yo daughter and 11yo son, scalloping for the first time. Daughter found 1. And that was it. Launched canoe from H cove just south of K beach. Went out about a mile. A family of 6 was out there for awhile and only got 5. I think the rain/freshwater is pushing them further out. By early afternoon the fleet was a couple of miles out from Dark Island. Need the rain but woulda been nice to find some a little closer in. :(

$12 lb at Publix. A lb of bay scallops is probably over a hundred. I wouldn’t clean 100 scallops for 12 bucks

We happened onto that crash just after it happened... Smelled the odor you spoke of around MD's place also. Smelled somewhat like the odorant they put into propane to me. I didn't notice the water.

Went to Keaton Saturday. Tried south of Big Grassy Island, Hagen's Cove, and several places in between. Ended up with 27 scallops in 5 hours. I guess I'm doing it wrong.

Plenty of scallops out there just have to know where to look.
