south shoal

hoping to get break on weather come down for some relaxing fishing mon.and tues.never fished south shoal on the southern end can someone tell me if it has spotty bottoms and holds trout will be putting in at Carrabelle has anybody target grouper in shallow water yet hoping to stretch line on big pole and small pole also

There is some spotty bottom there, but less grass than dog island reef. I think the reef will be more productive for you. And closer to carabelle. If there is any East or west wind, s shoal gets very rough. I wouldn’t expect to catch any keeper grouper there. Maybe some shorts. Good luck

thanks for info. saved long ride i've done good in the past on dog island reef its also in my circle when come back in from blacky and grouper fishing
