Carrabelle River Fishing 1/16-1/18

Post by jss12121 »

Howdy,

I fished the Carrabelle River outgoing tide yesterday with nice warm weather. On cut mullet I had nothing but catfish, but they kept me busy and got a few big ones. There were reds tailing across the river(had me drooling at the mouth) I just had no access to them being land based at the moment. I also caught one small trout bouncing a gulp slow on the bottom. Any suggestions to change things up? I am going to try to get down as much as I can. Hope everyone had a good week!

Try a slow-sinking twitchbait. I love Paul Brown lures this time of year.

Jss, I also fished Carrabelle River. Most of reds have moved up River to some deeper holes. I would try tipping your bait with shrimp. I usually go to Millanders seafood and get lb of fresh dead, works great. Good luck.
