New Striper World Record

Postby silverking » October 16th, 2020, 9:35 am

Friend in NC just sent me this. Don't know any details on tackle, bait or fight, but this is a truly impressive fish. A 50-pound striper is considered a lifetime catch. Too bad she's out of the gene pool, but can understand the motivation for boating.

Grew up fishing the CBBT and Oregon Inlet for striper. No nuclear plant, just healthy runs of shad and a groceries that would make Costco look like a 7-eleven! My biggest was 50lbs, which is a baby compared to that monster!
