I was going to, then the weather scared me away. As of Friday, they'd only had one boat signed up...not even sure if the tournament happened.
Boom goes the dynamite.

Finished Fourth.

Our one Fish was 22 inch 4 something lbs.
Mook through away a keeper but we didn't know if it
was a 1 fish tourny or 2. If so we would have still not won
but would have got 3rd place. We both lost numerous big redfish.
We will have a thread up later about our crazy day.

The tourny was canned for today because of weather. So it turned out to be
only a 1 day event. The top 2 guys had some nice Redfish. They each were around 7 and 8lbs I think. My one 22inch Redfish weighed around 4lbs. 7 boats were in the tournament.

I'm glad it's not just me Wevans... in fact, I think mojokoko and I would have caught more redfish if mojokoko hadn't been so busy catching big trout. I was catching keeper trout left and right too. When I wasn't catching trout, I was either netting mojo's trout or photographing them. He ended the day with 5 over 20 and I ended up with 1 over 20, both of us had several slot. His biggest fish that we actually measured was 24" but we didn't measure after the first 2 or 3 over 20. Probably caught about 15 keepers in all...which contributed nothing useful to the outcome of the redfish tournament...

None of the mojo pics above are of the same fish. After weigh-in and finding out that day 2 was cancelled, we put the boat back in the water and got in another 2 hours of fishin time. Of course my 2nd cast landed a 23" red... We took a couple bags of frozen shrimp with us cause the water was so rough, and I picked up the sheepie below on a very dead shrimp just before sunset. Sorry bout the picture quality but it was raining pretty hard and mojo was concentrating on keeping the camera covered. Thought I'd include it anyway cause I'm pretty sure it's the biggest sheep I've ever caught. I didn't measure it, but I had to fold the tail a little to fit it in my cooler, which is 20 inches wide on the inside; I'd say it was a tad over 21 but prolly less than 22.

See y'all tomorrow :smt006
