Congratulations to Junior Dice and Jumptrout51 for winning the October 23rd Red/Trout Shootout tournament and taking home the dough.
The Dream Team weighed in an astounding weight of 18 pounds for 1 trout and 1 redfish.
They also won the individual weight for Big Trout and Big Red.
Their 31 inch trout weighed 9 and 1/2 pounds while the 27 inch redfish weighed 8 and 1/2 pounds.
An outstanding performance by these 2 exceptional anglers.
After many days of pre-fishing the local waters these 2 anglers caught their fish on a little used bait.
CUT MULLET.
Both said the "cut mullet was just the ticket" for the record setting catch.
Junior Dice said "after fishing various artificial baits over many days, his team decided to try old-school fishing tactics, that is when we decided to go to cut bait".
Seems the "old-school" tactics paid off for this amazing duo.
THEN,THE ALARM WENT OFF. I GOT UP,SHOWERED AND WENT FISHING.

I'm glad you has such an outstanding day, JumpTrout. I (with Team Skeeter Done) could only manage 5th place with 9.7 pounds.
Here is a picture of the RedTrout Shootout officials posting the scores. Sorry they had not made it to the top yet; best I could do before I got winded.

Here you go, Juan. Sorry, but there was just no way to crop me out of this picture. Try holding your driver's license over my face.Juan wrote:Nice finish Will..... and post up sum more frontal pics.
