I am bumping this thread back to the top. I talked with Mike Scibelli today, and we still need a few more boats. Please sign up if you can. If you have questions about the event, call me at 850 509-3116.

Thanks for your help.

I'm out of town that day, but if you do it again I'm happy to take 'em out in my 21 foot Wahoo.

In the past we also were able to launch at Shield's as the Fort Parking can get busy. Are they going to waive launch fees as well? and any updates on times and anything else that may be needed to help out.

HEY STEVE, I HAVE DONE THIS IN THE PAST BUT I AM NOT PHYSICALLY ABLE TO DO IT ANYMORE. I WILL CONTACT MY OLDEST BOY AND SEE IF HE CAN COME OVER FROM JACKSONVILLE AND TAKE MY BOAT TO GET THE JOB DONE, I WILL LET YOU KNOW IN A COUPLE OF DAYS IF HE CAN MAKE IT.

THANKS FOR YOUR EFFORTS PA.

Somebody from this forum contacted me a while back offering help with goody bags for the kids. I have lost the contact information for this person, so if it was you, please contact me again. The person lived off of Buck Lake Rd. in Tallahassee.

Thanks - Steve Stinson

I'm in. Steve, you have my number. I have an annual pass at St. Mark's so launching at the lighthouse would be more convenient for me but I'm open to launching anywhere.

I'll be picking up a new to me McKee Craft 1800 dual console on Saturday. I'll have electronics in her by the time we go.

Fishing is going to run roughly from 8:00 to 12:00. We have somebody cooking hotdogs for everyone as they return to the ramp. Capt. Dave Lear and DOA donated some lures for the kids gift bags, and so did another gentleman named Bill. FWC has agreed to provide some additional gift bag items and go with some of us to the Florida Baptist Children's Home prior to the event to speak with the kids about what to expect, boating safety, and some simple fishing instructions.

As of right now, we could use another 3 or 4 captains, but we have had use of some pontoon boats donated so we could make due if necessary. We could also use $$$$ from anybody who wants to help to cover an additional pontoon boat, food costs, etc.

That is the up-to-the-minute report right now. My cell number is (850) 509-3116 if anybody needs to reach me regarding this event.

Thanks for all the help and donations we have received so far. - Steve Stinson

Tsunami Tidal Baits also donated lures to the kids' bags.

Fingers crossed for fair winds, calm seas and tight lines.

We would be more than happy to add to the goody bags a couple of items. let us know what to get and we will bring them to add to the bags.

We have a few plastic baits in the goody bags and no jig heads. So I would say jig heads or small bottles of sunscreen would be good items to add.
