Rod and Reel Repair

Post by Dakotabird »

Hello, all. I've been building rods for a while now and recently began doing it for others as a service. I was handling all the repairs for Masters of Gun and Rod in Gary's absence from January up until a couple weeks ago. I won't be offering my services on consignment through them anymore but I can be reached directly and I offer pick up and drop off at Angie's Marine Supply in Crawfordville. What is the typical cost to replace broken eyes on spinning rods? I've got three "mid-grade" rods that unfortunately came with really poor quality eyes.

For your standard spinning rod I charge $20 for the first repair and 10 for each additional repair. Guides and tip-tops generally run between $1.00 and 3.00.
