I never knew of this place until today. Is there anything wrong with the ramp? And do they usually have live shrimp? I usually drive out of my way to get bait when I go to st marks. I don't like going to sheild's because I always feel rushed, and people don't have any patience. The fort is nice if you get there early. By the time I get down there I have to walk a mile back to the ramp.

Shell Island Fish Camp?

The ramp is tight, and on low tides, just about impossible to launch.
However, it does work. They do usually have shrimp, and a decent little tackle store.
They always have ice, $2 for a 5 gallon bucket.

Ethanol free gas as well at a fair price.

Friendly people, they don't have the polish of Shields, but it gets the job done.

I stayed there about 2 weeks ago... In one of their small "park model" cabins, which was pretty nice. The ramp is in the end of their small canal, and looked to be too shallow at low tide to launch a bay boat. You probably could have used it for a jon boat or small flats boat. Good folks that run it.
