I was in the market for a new knife about the time that issue exploded, went with a Made in the USA Kershaw Blur instead of a BK when their actions and political contributions came to light.
You saved some money and got an excellent knife, its my favorite kershaw except for my knockout, but I broke the pocket clip on the knockout so the blur is my carry knife again.

I haven't heard about the Benchmade deal. My dad designs knives for Boker and WE, and although they are made in China they are pretty good quality.

Anybody who opposes my desire to obtain a bazooka is a liberal commie socialist LGBTQ liberal (yes, it must be stated twice) America-hater.

What’s stopping you Gary? I’m sure there is an affordable military surplus bazooka available out there for ya

I believe a bazooka would fall under the National Firearms Act - Destructive Device category so once you locate and pay for it, simply complete the Form 4/fingerprints, pay your for the tax stamp(s) and wait somewhere between 8 - 16 months to get your tax stamp and it will be yours all nice and legal. I think you also have to have a stamp for each round so it is a rich man's game for the most part. Surprise, they are just like machine guns (i.e. full automatic), short barreled rifles and shotguns and suppressors, its all legal to own and even affordable relatively speaking especially if you build your own GASP! Or you could drive down to Mexico or up to Chicago pick one up and if you survive the cartel connection hope you don't get caught, don't think for a minute they are not out there both legal and "imported".

Personally I think AT&F should be a convenience store not a government agency but YMMV...

C'mon guys, we're better than this. One guy posts a deal on some fishing gear and you degrade the forum with politics. If you want to talk politics, there are other sites for that. Lets keep this one about fishing.

UGADAWG, you are right and I am so wrong. I'm saying this without a hint of irony or snark. Was attempting humor in my earlier post, but neglected to consider how very tribal American society is now. Henceforth, my posts on this fishing website will be about...FISHING.

Thanks for the reality check.

re: benchmade. If you haven't carried an OTF microtech, you are missing out. hands down the best every day knife design out there.

I think benchmade is in a no win situation choosing to setup shop/remain in the PWN. They can only donate to liberals or remain on the sidelines without input into local, state, or national decisions.

I don't care if Dick's Sporting Goods is giving stuff away for free. Dick's doesn't exist to me. Shop at American sporting goods stores. You know, the ones that believe in the U.S. Constitution and our freedoms.

That only stopped selling ar’s, hi cap mags and to people under 21. How does this mean they don’t believe in the constitution. Who would buy an ar at dicks anyway? I really don’t understand why everyone is saying they crapped all over the second amendment. I just don’t see it. But don’t shop at box stores anyway. I buy guns at gun stores and boats at dealerships. I don’t buy either at dicks or bass pro

They stopped selling guns altogether at 125 locations and got rid of hunting gear as well

How does that affect the second amendment? West marine doesn’t sell that stuff. The local fly fishing shop doesn’t sell that stuff. The running shoe place doesn’t sell that stuff. Do we boycott all business that don’t sell hunting rifles or only the ones that used to? Sears used to sell guns, but doesn’t anymore. Do we boycott sears? I just don’t understand why everyone is so mad at what dicks did, they probably lost money on that stuff anyway. I’d have never noticed, because as I already said, I buy guns at gun stores. I just don’t feel like dicks decision affects the second amendment at all. Has anyone that is upset about this ever bought a gun at dicks? Will it really hurt you that you can’t buy a gun there now? Of course not
