St. George Island Pier Fishing

Post by Drummer7794 »

New to posting on here but i'd figure I would try to bring a little more life to the forum.
On Sunday, 03/24, Me and two buddies went fishing at 7am on the Pier from St. George Island. We didn't catch anything at all with the exception of three small bait fish.
We fished from 7am until 1pm. No bites from anything big. We used Live Shrimp, Frozen blue crab, and cut bait from the fresh catches. Nothing was even attempting to hit anything. We used popping corks with live shrimp and then switched to a pyramid weight set up using live shrimp or blue crab.
High tide was at 7:07am, Low tide at 12:30ish.

Not sure why nothing was biting that day. No one on the pier really caught anything noteworthy. Is the water still too cold?

Drummer, how far down the pier did you go? In talking with the locals, they informed me that the channel is actually where the portion of the prier has been replaced. Said most people walk all the way to the end, when in reality, you're better off closer in.
