St. Marks July 30th

Post by 4reels »

Got invited on a charter with St. Marks Outfitters. My oldest son & I with a friend and his son. Capt. Mike always makes things fun & educational.

Started out at Dog Ballard. Picked up a 32in cobia, several remoras, a flounder, and a couple of Jacks. Saw several eagle rays and some jumbo sea turtles! The bite was slow, but steady enough to keep us going.

Ended up on the West flats with a several short trout (12-14.9 range) and finished with a bruiser over-slot redfish.

All fish safely released and currently waiting for the next angler to entertain.

Best part - I didn’t have to launch, load, or wash my boat!!!

Nice! Mike does a great job, and is probably the calmest guide I've ever fished with. Despite making may errors, banging rod tips on t tops, etc, he always manages to keep his cool.

Oh, and he catches fish too.
