Where's Reel Cowboy and the rest of the Georgia contingent? Businesses that depend on healthy fisheries are critical, too. So how about it, Kevin's, South Georgia Outdoors, Capital City Trailers, Parkway Marine, Custom Detailing, etc. The more the merrier.

My $.02 as sent.

In the strongest terms possible, I would request that the Conservation Commission do the right thing and:

1. DO not to expand the commercial Seatrout Fishery especially during the colder months

2. Remove Cast Nets as a form of acceptable gear

3. Do not allow a commercial by-catch limit of trout.

Any other action would border on the ridiculous and injure any public confidence in the Commissions desire to act in the best interest of all rather than just commerical interests.
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

Good question. Come on, everyone. Like politics, you can't gripe if you don't vote (or send comments). Doesn't take long, just tell the commissioners what good trout fishing means to you and why it should be protected. Personal data like how many trips you make each year and how much you spend really has an impact. For sponsors and businesses, think of the bottom line and how much you depend on anglers, especially in this economy and let the commissioners know why they should do everything they can to strongly protect this public resource. Trout are not a major food fish and many of the ones being harvested now are ending up in crab traps as bait or as fish paste.

Please keep those comments coming. Every one counts. By the way, the FWC meeting where the trout rule will be discussed will be held in South Florida next month (they rotate around the state), so emailed comments or letters are the best method to make our voices heard.
