St Marks NWR - 11 Oct 2015

Post by Terrier »

Fished the refuge today and Friday - waded Friday at the wash bar and got two 17" spanish and a couple of short flounder - all on clousers. Today I took the kayak out to Long bar from 8:00 AM to 1:00 Pm and had more activity - ended up with 4 trout, 17", two 19"s and a 20". 3 came on Olive/Chart/ tan clousers, one topside on a gartside gurgler. I lost another after a short fight and missed a strike on another. Toward noon, I picked up a 19" redfish on as clouser. The trout seem to be coming back slow but sure.

Water is very clear, cooling but still warm.

Yazzur.
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
