Lower Ochlockonee Paddle Trail and fly fishing trip

Post by oysterhsdr »

A good bit ago I posted a WTB ad on this site for a canoe (pasted below), needless the say I found one and ended up doing the trip. There was some interest in me posting the trip after I was done so I figured I would as I finally did a write up. It is on my personal blog, I hope the mods don't mind cause I'm not selling anything, but I could understand if they do. I've posted it up below. There are three parts but the 3rd (The first one that comes first) is the one that really is the river trip.

O man, what an adventure! I enjoyed every word! Thanks a million. The pictures were worth more than words and added to a well written story.

Do it again and tell us about it!

Wow, that must have been amazing. I'll admit, I'm jealous. I'd love to do a trip like that.

Thanks fellas, I really appreciate you taking the time to check it out! I recently moved to Austin, TX for a new job, it'll likely be about a 2 year period so I'm now pretty far away from the awesome rivers and inshore fishing we have there. I'll have to live through you guys while I'm here.

I'm already plotting some new adventures in TX like heading down to the coast to get my saltwater fix, and hitting the Guadalupe to go after the rainbow trout they stock on fly. I still stand by our area is the best fishing area on earth (atleast for what I like to catch). If anyone ever wants to hit this trip up and need any info PM me and I'll help as best I can. Don't catch 'em all while I'm in Austin!

I grew up catching bream and bass on a fly rod but haven't done it in years so I just don't check out the fly fishing section that much on here. I'll be checking it out more now after reading your blog about this trip. I really enjoyed it.
