St Marks NWR- Aug 07 2016

Post by Terrier »

Been fishing most weekends this summer and have had nothing really exciting to report. Today was a little better - things are looking up - or actually looking down:

Caught my first Lookdown on a clouser off an oyster bar:

Also got a short redfish, and then around 10:00 am, caught and released a big shouldered 27" redfish on a Olive/chartreuse/white clouser:

Biggest redfish of the year so far. Finished the day with a good sized ladyfish.

The water was cooler than the last few weeks, so maybe the fishing will turn on soon.

That's an interesting combo on fly. Nicely done.
