St croix

Post by hambric85 »

Decided I'd stop by my local going out of business gander. Picked up a new st. Croix imperial 8wt for $115!!!! Now I need a new reel, what do y'all recommend for a mid tier? Going to throw the scientific angler redfish 9wt line on her. Also found out tonight, Thursdays is when they do markdowns every week. So I'm gonna be popping in every Thursday from now on!!

Not going out of business. Sold to Camping World, but clearing old Gander inventory as part of deal.

Lamson makes nice reels that don't cost an arm and leg. Several models of new, discontinued Sage reels listed on eBay for less than $250. Give Lin a call at Kevin's to see what they might be able to do.

The one in Albany is closing for good. No camping world here. But thanks. Never used the sciangler line before, gonna see how it does shortly.
