Jack Plate Recommendation

Post by 2DB »

Considering installing a jack plate on my 2011 Frontier 210 with a Yamaha 150 Four Stroke. I would greatly appreciate any input on make, set back, etc.

I have a Bob's (I think 10" setback) with a 200 Yamaha hanging on it. This one is about 10 years old with a good amount of use, and the only complaint I have with it is the UP solenoid sometimes won't turn the hydraulic pump on to raise the motor. I'm sure it is a simple electrical solenoid fix, I just haven't done it yet. Bob's makes good equipment in my opinion.

Bob's gets my vote and I don't currently run one.

I had a nose cone with low water pick up that did not enjoy striking a rock. When we told him I was in a time crunch, they did everything they could to get everything to my mechanic and back on the water. I agree A+++++++++++ on the service from them.

I've own a Bob's and I currently have an atlas. both have been great. they say bob's are faster when it comes to lift but I can't remember enough to compare it to the one I have now. not sure you could go wrong with either one.
