I decided to go ahead and have the poling platform raised, thus eliminating the issue of the motor hitting it when the jack plate is up. Metal Fabrication and sales on Weems Rd did a great Job at a very good price. Now back to Tri State to have the motor mounts raised to the highest mounts...
