Fuel gauge

Post by Boudreux »

Can somebody tell me how to go about measuring my old fuel gauge? It’s gone bad and I need a new one. I measured the face at 2.5 inches. The only gauges I see online are 2” and 2 1/8”. Help please

It is probably the 2-1/8. The gauge is measured at the body, not the face.

This ^.

You have to remove it and measure across the part that fits inside the hole.

You might want to check your sending unit too. They tend to stick or go bad long before the gauges do.

Thanks for the help I’ll pull it out and measure. I replaced the sending unit last year so it better not be that!
