wax removal

I needed to remove some auto wax the other day and did a searched on-line for the best way to do so. It was surprising to see that Dawn soap came up the most often. I only bring this up because more times than not when I wash my vehicle or boat it is Dawn soap. Had no idea it was taking the wax off. Needless to say I won't be using it for that application any more.
