Yamaha warranty

So here is the question I have a new 4 stroke 300 outboard I have the 5 year warranty for free is it worth 1700 dollars to go 1 more year to the maximum of 6 years? I’m torn I know some will say get all the warranty you can no matter the cost just didn’t know yalls thoughts

I would pass on 1 extra year. If you take care of the motor the first 5 years, it will most likely make it through the 6th year. Take the $1700 and put it in your “rainy day fund”.

I agree one year for $1700 is a lot. Take the $1700 now and invest it and see what you have in 5 years.
