Boating class

Any recommendations on a basic boating class that includes navigation.

I don't know how old you are, but if you take a boating class put on by the local Coast Guard Auxiliary it will qualify you for the safe boater license. I am old enough that I didn't need one, but took the class years ago in Tampa when I switched from full time bass fishing and began fishing Tampa Bay for snook. It was a good class that taught everything - navigation, safety procedures, reading the weather conditions, knots, etc.
My son is going to have to take a safe boating class soon and I may go with him just for the refresher course.
