Stainless anchor spike tips

Post by silverking »

I've added stainless steel tips to my Power-Pole spike and kayak stake-out spikes in the past to protect against splintering from shell and rock. So when I had the new hydraulic PP Pro Series II mounted, I tried to order another one but the previous supplier only carries one size and is slow with fulfillment. Did a Google search and came up with these guys in Marietta, GA instead:

Multiple sizes, good prices and fast shipping. The shipping charge is a little high but combined orders with buddies can reduce that. The photo of the tips shows a gold tint--actual tips are regular brushed nickel stainless. BTW, the 6-foot Pro Series uses a smaller spike so the 5/8-inch tip fits snugly with a little sanding to hold the glue. I use 5200 and tape the tip in place with blue painter's tape to hold it as the compound sets.
