Pretty tough when you have to reply to your own post, but then again, I'm not the one with the new skiff.

Very windy from the east all day at SGI Saturday. Fished with about 3.5 oz. egg sinkers. Nice flounder on shrimp first cast. After that, probably 10-12 whiting and a little bonnethead throughout the day. Not bad all things considered.

Still seeking my first big bull off the beach, been at it for a while.

Sounds like a good time. I went Saturday 5/5. Got there too late to get a pass for east end but had a good time at one of those 'pull over' spots. Saw good water to the right of a runout but it was taken so I fished 100 yards to the left of him. Pomps and whiting for the man to the right. Ladies, catfish and one trout for me. Fished right after high tide. Used a surf rig and head hooked the shrimp. The trout hit so hard I thought it was a pomp. He ate as good as he hit.
