2015 NFGFC schedule

Just bored here at work and started thinking about scheduling conflicts this year and how we can better prepare for next year. Here is what I came up with so far. If anyone knows of other tournaments/events next year please let me know.

Feb 7th
March 14th - second weekend to work around Special Olympics Tourney at Keaton held on first weekend.
April 4th
May 9th - second weekend to work around Perry Optimist tournament held on the first weekend
June 6th
July 11th - second weekend not on the 4th of July
August 8th
September 4th
October 3rd
November 7th

this is not a set in stone schedule...

Here is what I am thinking for next year. I wanted to have all ramp boundaries and weigh in locations preset. Thoughts??

I am working with Warriors and Quiet Waters to put together a benefit tournament. I believe the tentative date is April 18th.

We are trying to schedule it so that it does not interfere with NFGFC events or others if possible.

The schedule looks good - you may want to call now and reserve a room block for SJB, Keaton, and Steinhatchee. You may want to include a makeup date in August or September in case one of the early tournaments gets cancelled.

Also might get more participation if you do away with the slot tournaments. Finally, they're spelled e-c-o-n-f-i-n-a and o-c-h-l-o-c-k-o-n-e-e.

This projected schedule does have 1 less slot tournament than what the this and last year does have. What about also having more than one combo tournament or something like that?

Carrabelle in July. Econfina in June. Rock landing in August with boundaries for that tournament from panacea to Lanark. Better fishing west when the temps go up.

I think the September 4th tourney is a Friday. Are we closer to making this schedule concrete? It's time to start asking for Saturdays off. Let's increase those entries this year!

So, I think I about have it. One more question to everyone. I had some members ask about changing the first tournament to a regular 5 fish tournament instead of the combo. Thoughts?
