Pretty strong big fish showing, especially with trout. 24" entries got nothing.
Off the top of my head...

Hill brothers crushed, with top trout (4.95) and redfish (6.67), taking over $2,000.

Brian Showman & Matt Kramer got second redfish (I think 6.40) and won a calcutta bet for a total of $630

A team that included Kilgore also finished in the money, and second place trout (maybe them) was 4.78.

I got third trout (4.59), missed 3rd place redfish (6.29) by .07. Also won a calcutta bet, total $320.

Wonder if I should have done NFGFC instead. I kayaked creeks east of the lighthouse and found a creek bend out of the wind that had a lot of upper slot trout, and a few keeper flounder. My five-trout total was 13.65lbs, but this tourney was big fish only.

JT: Brian said for your monthly tourneys folks meet early to register & also weigh-in at Econfina, but you can launch anywhere. I thought it was mandatory to launch out of Econfina. True?
I left before seeing grouper results, but nobody even weighed in a grouper while I was there

Brian is a lawyer.
Lawyers sometimes misstate facts.
SEATROUT CHALLENGE Tournaments launch from and weigh in at Econfina.
Thanks for the PP update.
