Bottom identification

Hello, new to the site and had some questions for you veteran forum guys.
1- Where is Captain Alex Crawford and any recent fishing reports? Sure enjoy reading those in my search to learn.
2- Newer to this side of state and looking for any tips on finding rocks on bottom machine, and are u guys looking for color changes for harder bottom on the gulf side. Struggling to determine what is limestone and sand.

Youtube your bottom machine and watch a couple of videos and then go to some known hard bottom and get accustomed to seeing what your looking for.
I don't know when I'm gonna catch my next fish but I know when I do it's gonna be awesome!
