off shore Econfina

Post by Carlabear »

Left landing after 1 pm saturday due to minus tides but did get out for quick run 18 miles due to great seas. Had a short time on water catching numerous short grouper just 23 inches and lots of red grouper also. Next years catch hopefully. :D Only had frozen pins squid and ended up with 2 beautiful gags about 30 inches mixed up with the little ones. Short feeding and quit like grouper like to do. Hit several spots and back in by 530. All in all great afternoon on the water. Trolled over some good spots but no takers except lizard fish. Just happy to be back off shore! Hope the weather continues the rest of the year. Had a hard time getting offshore this fall due to wind . :smt006

Good to hear you found some nice ones! It was a beautiful day. What depth did you find them?

We were about 20 miles out in 37 feet.
