Panacea Grouper trip with some snapper thrown in...

Post by bman »

I know some of these posts get repetitive but if they keep repeating like this I'm ok with that ;-)
Got invited on a trip with Dusty Long- Long Charters out of Panacea.
Can't beat sunrise at the dock...

Dodged a little rain but it was good to have some cloud cover
And we found the pot of grouper at the end of the rainbow

The run in was easy even in some 3s and 4s

If you have someone that needs a stable wide fishing platform Dustys boat is hard to beat.
It's slow but comfortable and he is about to run an even bigger one with an air-conditioned cabin.
It would be great for an older fishermen, young kids, or even someone who is wheelchair bound. Plenty of room to move around.

Didn't catch nearly as many snapper but the ones we caught were quality. Boston Macks were the bait of the day.

And we flat out killed the grouper!

He runs about 1300 + a tip to the deck hand. Split between 6 guys its not a bad price!

And yes that's me ;-)

HEY BARRY, MAN , THAT IS THE BEST CATCH OF GROUPER AND SNAPPER I HAVE SEEN A LONG TIME, YOUR CAPT. KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING, AND THE PRICE IS REASONABLE. I THINK I WILL LOOK THE CAPT UP WHEN I AM PHYSICALLY ABLE TO MAKE A TRIP LIKE THAT. Y'ALL DID GREAT.
