grouper and snapper

Post by Carlabear »

Thanks to the reopening of snapper in federat waters we were able to get out and catch a few more. Went yesterday between thunder storms at econfina and out 20 miles and caught our limit of gags and 3 snapper. Also caught 3 large sharks. One was a bull around 13 feet and came up after the gag grouper being reeled in. We caught all fish on dead frozen bait lizard fish, el Y. cigar minnows and pin fish.

We didnt stop on the way out of econfinan to get live bait due to time constraints and getting out with the major feed. All in all it was a great day. The snapper were agressive and had a great time with them. :smt006
